Anthony Szubzda was born May 8th, 1906 and was the youngest boy in his family. Anthony grew-up in Plains, PA at an early age he quit school to work in the coal mines. Anthony married Agnus Kochanoski, born December 13, 1906, on Febuary 1st, 1932. They had six children Tony, Joe, Stan Mary Tina and Sophie. Tony was an easy going person the one to fear in the family was Agnus, she wore the pants in their house. Agnus was my grandmother and she was a strong woman as I remember and was always there for here children and grandchildren. One story I always hear is a time when my father, Stanley, was taken out with his older siblings and was returned late that night, well this did not sit very well with Grandma and Stanley's brothers and sisters paid the price, but Stan made the mistake of laughing at his siblings taking their medicine, that grandma giving out, so he also paid for laughing.
One of the coolest things I remember was playing at my Grandfathers bar, Tony's Tavern in Wyoming. Tony Szubzda always had a story to tell when you were around him. One of the funniest stories he told me was the time he and his brothers were playing in the barn and his brother Victor threw him out of the 2nd story to see if he could fly like a bird.
The following outline has been developed through research into Anthony's family background. This outline is developed from Anthony Szubzda's family bloodline. If you are on this list or can add to this please email me at shubz@ptd.net
